Ball Marks on greens:

It is important for everyone to repair his, or her, ball divot on the greens. Your repairing the divot will help other golfers have a smooth roll, while improving the ability of the bent grass to recover. It can also prove helpful for people to fix two divots for every divot they make. It is also common for people to not find their divot when they get on the green. If you do not understand the correct method on divot repair, feel free to ask me, or the crew, to explain the proper method. We would both be happy to help you. It is fun to educate people, and it is part of our job.

Divots on tees:
It is just as important to fill divots on the tee boxes. There will be plastic bottles on most of the tee boxes filled with sand and seed to fill the divots. We try to keep them filled but they do often run out. If there is an empty bottle please place the bottle back in the holder upside down so that we know that it is empty and needs to be refilled.

Carts:
Since there are not paths everywhere on the course it is tough to control carts. We would like carts to chose different paths every time that they play a hole. Carts cause considerable compaction. When all carts follow along the fairway in the rough it causes the soil to become compacted and the grass to become nearly unplayable. We encourage the scatter rule at Windom Country Club. We also permit traffic on the fairways but use common sense do not play follow the leader when with a group. The less carts that are on the course the better, so if you can pair up with another member please do so. Also please stay 30 feet from greens.
