First order of Business was to amended last month minuets to make a correction
in the amount of insurance payment from $53,386.67 to $5386.67. Motion was made
by John H, and 2nd by Brady P. to amend and approve the minutes for the month
of December. Motion carried.
2009 form 990 Tax Return for the Windom Country Club was reviewed and
motion was made by Jeff G. and 2nd by John H. to approve 2009 tax return.
Motion carried.
Full financial report was review motion to approve by Dave J. and 2nd by John
H. motion carried.
Motion was made by John H. and 2nd by Dave J. to put two First time membership
on the auction block (January and April) Either single or a family
membership. Motion carried.
Board members talk in depth about the date of the tournaments be held at the
Country Club this summer. They thought it would be best to move the
Women’s Toro Tournament to July 19th because it will fall on the 5th of
July. Making it very difficult to get it ready because
of the heavy traffic it might receive from the long busy holiday
weekend. By moving to the next week it will give the greens some extra
time to heal and the grounds keepers more time to get it ready.
The other tournament that was mention was moving the Men’s Club Tournament back
to a week in September. No action will be taken until next month meeting.
Motion was made by Jeff G. and 2nd by Linda V. to pay $2300 to
Johnson Tree Removal for trees that have been taken down . Motion carried.
Motion was made by John H. and 2nd by Brady to pay Lane Lohre for miles she put
on her vehicle . She will work it out with Linda V. to get
the right amount per mile accordance with IRS rate. Motion carried.
Couple night will run June 1 to Aug 31. Couples hours will be 5:00 to
7:00. These hours will only be for couples. All activities are planed and will
be run by Richard and Linda Vortherms two other volunteers would be grateful.
Cottonwood cup is tentatively planed for September 17-18.
Cart Shed roofs were quoted $4200. per shed. They will be replaced with a
metal roof. Plans are to try and get shed one and two done this spring
and three in the fall. Volunteers will be need.
Old Business: Trevor S and Tammy Hall are working on getting a web site
up and running for the Country Club. This site will be mostly and informational
site.
Security Systems were tabled until this spring so it can be investigated on
what is really need and then the cost can be figured at that time.
Dave J. order and delivered trophy’s to all the flight winners and a traveling
championship trophy given to Brent A. They are going to try and keep up
this tradition. Traveling trophy has all the Champions names dating back
to 1972
New Business:
Motion was made by John H. and 2nd by Dave J. to get a time clock for all club
house employees to use. Motion was carried.
Tim K. from the Eagles said they are no longer have breakfast every Sunday at
their Clubs. They are only going to have benefit breakfasts every 3rd
Sunday of the month.
February meeting will be Feb. 7th at 7:00 at Eagles.
